UN 2023 Water Conference: Water Bank Foundation Trust Virtual Event to Launch Water Purification Innovation

New York, US: January 22, 2023 – The Water Bank Foundation Trust underlined its intentions to drive opportunity and cleaner water for those in need, as it announced a webinar to scrutinize the key role of the Panchayat Raj in India –as well as exhibit an exciting new development in water purification technology.

The webinar, in conjunction with the UN 2023 Water Conference and held on World Water Day, will allow attendees to understand the finer points of the Panchayat Raj, why it is a viable option for progressing key movements and the Water Bank Foundation Trust’s fight to provide clean water for millions of citizens globally.

This exclusive event also invites attendees to witness the global launch of a disruptive innovation in water purification. This highly-anticipated leap in clean-water technology was declared amongst the Top 100 innovations in India and topped the list of innovations in WASH (Global Water, Sanitation and Hygiene).

The pioneering UN-approved webinar is organized by Water Bank Foundation Trust, led by Managing Trustee and President, Saket Kumar. The virtual event will look at how the institution of the Panchayat Raj level of decision-making in modern-day India can be instrumental in making critical changes in governance.

Processes and developments that are vital in changing the clean water landscape can be progressed via these units of self- government – and this particular insight will be examined by luminaries such as K N Govindacharya, Pioneer of Eco-centric Development model, Avinash Mishra, Senior Advisor, NITI Ayog, Govt of India and Dr C S Pran, Founder of Teesari Sarkar Abhiyan.

This virtual event is one of many being held during the UN 2023 Water Conference, as the international organization looks to continue its commitment to making cleaner water an attainable standard for the world.

UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, said “The UN 2023 Water Conference in March must result in a bold Water Action Agenda that gives our world’s lifeblood the commitment it deserves.”

Current figures estimate that India has around 9 million people without regular access to clean water, with more than 700 million without safely managed household sanitation methods.
