Patent Granted for TAP@APP IoT for Water

Kharagpur, West Bengal| April 10, 2025 – Today on the World’s ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) day, Water Bank Foundation Trust (WaterBANK) and its associated company VAS Bros. Enterprises Private Limited (VBEPL) is celebrating with joy as the 6 years old pending patent TAP@APP was granted. 

TAP@APP will not only enable the new ways for real-time water quality monitoring but will also act as the interface of ML powered BarterExchange of RainbowCredits in context of BarterWATER, apart from automating the OAS Drinking Water Purifiers.

How does TAP@APP Works?

 TAP@APP is the IoT system developed by VBEPL to remote monitor & control of water quality & usage. TAP@APP has a mod-bus platform to integrate various sensors related to water quality and flow.

Patent also encompasses some of the new sensors combined with titration and imaging for water quality assessment and showcasing live. A 4G/5G modem is integrated with TAP@APP for a 2 way communication with the server apps.

A National conference on Water Quality triggered innovation for IoT for Water?

Organised by Ministry of Jal Shakti and Jal Jeevan MIssion of Government of India, This conference was attended by almost all the state Government officials from Public Health Engineering Department working on Water Quality monitoring and mitigation.
 
This conference gave an overview of existing and planned work on Water Quality Monitoring, which otherwise is very difficult to consolidate. Immediately after this conference, our team working on the innovation of TAP@APP IoT system accumulated the information, gaps, and scope of ML into Water Quality monitoring and mitigation. 

TAP@APP for BarterWATER

Apart from water quality monitoring, in context of BarterWATER, TAP@APP shall also curate the BarterExchange through its ML powered server application.

Ranging from behaviour analysis of the end user to the prosperity through nature-positive assets shall be monitored and evaluated by this in-line system.
