OAS Tech Named Among Top 100 Innovations of India

Recognized for low-cost, laterite-based indigenous arsenic binding and purification technology developed with IIT Kharagpur.

The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, and premier innovation accelerators have officially recognized Water Bank Foundation’s OAS Technology among the Top 100 Innovations of India.

Indigenous Laterite Arsenic Filtration

Arsenic contamination affects over 50 million people across 8 North Indian states. Traditional membrane filtration systems are either prohibitively expensive or generate hazardous concentrated waste. OAS technology utilizes chemically conditioned natural laterite minerals to bind and safely sequester arsenic without requiring chemical additives or massive electrical overhead.

This national recognition accelerates our roadmap to scale community-managed filtration units across the Gangetic plain by 2026.
